JUDGMENT

Petitioner herein was employed under the first respondent/Board as Watcher. According to the petitioner, he fell down from a roof top on 04.02.2021 and had to undergo treatment. Leave was sanctioned on 05.02.2021 till 12.02.2021. Some disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him as he did not submit an application for extension of leave after 12.02.2021. However, he had submitted Ext.P7 representation before the Board seeking posting in a convenient place mentioned therein.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Board, I am inclined to dispose of the Writ Petition itself by directing the second respondent to take up, consider and dispose of Ext.P7 on merits, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after giving a reasonable opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, either physically or through virtual mode.

Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
