The petition is challenging suspension of the petitioner by Ext.P2 order dated 13.08.2021. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner is stated to have submitted Ext.P3, explaining his grounds and seeking a reconsideration of the suspension order.

When the matter was taken up the learned Standing

Counsel for the Civil Supplies Corporation submitted that the Managing Director has ordered a preliminary enquiry to be conducted against the petitioner into the alleged loss and damage caused to the food grains.

¶25

Having considered this, I feel that it is too premeture

¶26

at this state to go into the legality of the suspension order. However, it is made clear that the preliminary enquiry shall be expedited and completed as expeditiously as possible, treating Ext.P3, as the submission made by the petitioner of his defence.

If he proposes to file any additional statement that can also be done on getting notice from the 1^st respondent or from the preliminary enquiry officer.
