Opposing a tournament scheduled on 01.04.2016 at Bekal Stadium Ground, Bekal, instant writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:
“(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writs, orders or directions directing respondents 1 to 3 authorities to restrain the respondents 4 and 5 in proceeding with the tournament, so as to secure peace and harmony in the interest of general public.
(ii) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writs, orders or directions directing respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary measure to ensure safety and security to both the spectators and residents; and not to disrupt the law and order situation in view of the proposed tournament.”
As the proposed tournament was scheduled to be held on 01.04.2016, we are of the view that nothing survives for consideration

Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
