The prayer in the Writ Petition (C) is for a direction to entrust the investigation in Crime No.23/2019 of Manjeri Police Station to the Director of Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau, arrayed as the third respondent. When the matter was taken up today, the learned Special Government Pleader for the Vigilance placed before me a communication dated 27.07.2020 informing that the State Police Chief has granted permission to transfer the above case to the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau by order

No.PHQ/D1/11041/2020/PHQ dated 23.07.2020. In the light of the above, the first prayer stands redressed. The third respondent shall expedite the investigation. Writ Petition (C ) is closed, reserving the right of the petitioner herein to move at the appropriate stage, in case of delay in the completion of the investigation.
