The grievance highlighted in this Writ Petition is regarding

failure of the Police to register a crime on the basis of Exhibit.P1 complaint, wherein the petitioner has pointed out the commission cyber crimes against her.

The learned Senior Public Prosecutor submits on instructions that pending this Writ Petition, Crime No. 1878/2020 has been registered at the Parassala Police Station for the offences under Section 406 and 420 r/w Section 34 of the IPC. In the such circumstances, the grievance regarding non-registration of crime stands allayed. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that Ext.P2 representation is pending before the 2^nd respondent, who is the appropriate authority to oversee investigation into cyber crimes. Therefore, it is for the 2^nd respondent to consider Exhibit.P2 representation and to take appropriate decisions thereon, without delay.
