The petitioner submitted an application for issuance of a regular permit on the route Vallikada - Muvattupuzha - Pattimatttam - Kizhakkambalam - Pallikara - Kakkanad - Vyttila Hub. In pursuance to the same, a route enquiry was conducted and Exhibit P2 is the report. His grievance concerns the delay in considering the application for issuance of regular permit particularly in view of the favourable report. It is in the above background that the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 application for issuance of a regular permit in an expeditious manner.

I have heard Sri O.D.Sivadas, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances and the submissions made across the Bar, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to take up Exhibit-P1 taking note of Exhibit P2 report, and pass appropriate orders, in consonance with law and procedure, expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. The 1st respondent may resort to passing of orders by circulation of papers under Rule 130 of the Kerala Motor Vehicle Rules if there are no

other impediments to expedite the proceedings.

The petitioner shall produce a copy of the writ petition along with
