JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who is stated to be a builder, has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding respondents 2 to 4 to grant adequate and meaningful police protection for the life and property of the petitioner, his family and his workers and for the smooth maintenance and repair works inside FLAT 14A, Ivory Heights Apartment in Panampilly Nagar, against the threat and harassment of respondents 5 and 6 and persons under them. The petitioner has also sought for a writ of mandamus commanding the 2nd respondent to take up Ext.P5 complaint and to enquire into the matter and also to issue directions to 4th respondent police officials to consider complaint and to grant adequate and meaningful police protection for the life and property of the petitioner and for the smooth maintenance and repair works inside Flat 14A, with building No.56/461 and 462 in the aforesaid apartment, against the threat and harassment of respondents 5 and 6 and persons under them.

consideration, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a memo dated 14.10.2020 has been filed seeking permission to withdraw the writ petition, since there is no further threat and moreover the work is over.
Recording the aforesaid memo dated 14.10.2020, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently the interim order dated 23.07.2020 is vacated.
