The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to consider Exts.P3 and P4 joint options, exercised by the petitioners along with their employer under the Employees Pension Scheme, expeditiously.

I have heard Sri.K.K.Satheesh, the learned counsel for the petitioners and Smt.Nita N.S., the learned Standing counsel for the respondent.

On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the Bar, I dispose the writ petition by directing the respondent to consider Exts.P3 and P4 joint options preferred by the petitioners, on merits, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioners. The petitioners shall produce a copy of the writ petition together with a copy of the judgment before the respondent for further action.
