JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking an expeditious disposal of I.D.No.2 of 2018, which is stated to be pending before the 1st respondent Tribunal.

When the matter came up for admission, this Court called for a report from the 1st respondent Tribunal, as regards the time required for passing final orders in the aforementioned I.D. By a report dated 17.07.2020, the Presiding Officer of the Industrial Tribunal has informed this Court that the delay in passing orders in the matter was on account of the petitioner not filing a re-joinder in time, and further, not appearing for tendering evidence in the matter before the Tribunal. A part of the delay is also attributed to the lock down declared by the Government in connection with Covid pandemic. The Presiding Officer has, however, informed that if the petitioner co-operates with the further proceedings, the case, which is now posted to 20.08.2020, can be disposed within a further period of three months from that date.

Taking note of the said report of the Presiding Officer, the Writ Petition is disposed by directing 1st respondent Tribunal, to pass final orders in the I.D.No.2 of 2018 on or before 30.11.2020. The petitioner

shall ensure that there is no delay occasioned in the matter, at her instance, and she shall fully co-operate with the proceedings before the 1st respondent Tribunal.
