The petitioner herein is the wife of late Reji V.R., who was working as a driver in the Perumbavoor Depot of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. Reji had retired on 31.5.2017 and on 25.6.2018, he passed away. The petitioner contends that the monthly pension, DCRG, CVP, PF Closure amount and other benefits due to the deceased have not been disbursed. The petitioner also states that the monthly family pension with arrears with effect from 1.6.2017 remains outstanding. Stating all these aspects, the petitioner has preferred Ext.P7 representation before the 2nd respondent and her prayer in this writ petition is to direct the said respondent to take a decision on the same expeditiously.

I have heard Sri.Justine K.P. (Karipat), the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri.T.P.Sajan, the learned standing counsel.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances and the submissions made across the bar, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the

2^nd respondent to take up Ext.P7 representation and take a decision expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Before passing orders the petitioner shall be afforded an opportunity of being heard.
