Instant writ appeal is filed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and its Vice Chancellor, challenging the interim order passed by a learned single Judge of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 12659 of 2020 and other connected writ petitions dated 29.06.2020, by which the first appellant University was directed to grant provisional affiliation forthwith to the writ petitioners, to start additional courses, as sought for by them in their respective writ petitions, which shall be subject to the result of the writ petitions. It was further directed that in order to safeguard the interest of the students, the writ petitioners shall notify or publish their intention to start any additional course on the basis of the interim order and it shall also be clearly specified in such notification that the grant of provisional affiliation for the new course/courses would be subject to the result of the writ petition in question, and the other connected writ petitions. The writ petitioners as well as the respondents were, inter alia, directed to file their respective pleadings, if any, on or before 10.07.2020 and the writ petitions were directed to be posted for final hearing on 13.07.2020.
