The captioned SSCR was suo motu registered based on SM Report No.12/2020 of the Special Commissioner, Sabarimala. It pertains to the selection of Melsanthies in Sabarimala and Malikappuram Devaswoms for the year 1196 ME-1197 ME. Earlier, this Court passed an order in SSCR No.10/2020 in regard to selection of Melsanthies in the aforesaid Devaswoms. In fact, SSCR No.10/2020 was closed on 12.10.2020. The said closed matter is again posted before us since the Observer appointed by this Court filed a report on culmination of the selection proceedings. The report filed by the Observer is taken on file. In fact, it is in respect of the same issues, the Special Commissioner also filed a report viz., Report No.12/2020. Going by the report, selection proceedings were conducted smoothly and one Sri.V.K. Jayaraj Potti was selected as Melsanthi of Sabarimala and one Sri.Rejikumar M.N was selected as the Melsanthi of Malikappuram, for the year 1196 ME-1197 ME. Recording the said facts, the SSCR stands closed.
