JUDGMENT

The above contempt of court case has been filed alleging non-compliance of the directions issued by this Court in Annexure-A1 judgment dated 16.06.2020 in W.P(C)No.11660/2020 filed by the petitioner herein.

Today when the matter has been taken up for consideration, Sri.Saigi Jacob Palatty, learned Senior Government Pleader would submit on the basis of instructions that it is reliably learnt that so far the petitioner has not turned up to take back the interim custody of the seized vehicle, as directed in this Court’s interim order dated 24.08.2020 in this contempt case and further that, the respondentDistrict Collector has already passed final adverse order as against the petitioner in the abovesaid proceedings under Sec.20 of the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land & Wetland Act, 2008, ordering that in

case, the petitioner does not pay one and half times value of the seized vehicle, the vehicle is liable for confiscation, etc.

The petitioner has not apprised this Court about any subsequent developments in the matter. Accordingly, liberty is accorded to the petitioner to work out his remedies, in the manner known to law.

Recording the abovesaid submission of the respondent-Officer and with the said liberty to the petitioner, the above Contempt Case (Civil) will stand disposed of.
