JUDGMENT

Even though there are various allegations and averments in this writ petition, the only relief sought for by the petitioner is that the second respondent be directed to pass an award of compensation for the value of the land allegedly acquired by the respondents for the construction of an electric tower, as also for drawing of an overhead line through his property, along with interest.

Sri.Sudheer Ganesh Kumar, the learned standing counsel appearing for the KSEB submits that the delay in finalising the award is only because the petitioner has not submitted relevant documents, including his title deeds and he undertakes that in the event the petitioner produces these documents before the competent Authority, the award will be issued, as per law, within a further period of three months thereafter.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his client is willing to produce all the documents before the competent Authority within the shortest period of time and prays that this writ petition be, therefore, ordered in terms of the submissions made on behalf of the KSEB.

In the afore circumstances, I order this writ petition and direct the second respondent to complete the proceedings for

issuance of an award in terms of law with respect to the petitioner's property within a period of three months from the date on which the petitioner presents all documents, including his title deeds, before the said Authority.
