J U D G M E N T
It is alleged by the petitioner, who is a retired school teacher, that the third respondent and others are playing cricket and consuming alcohol and drugs in the vacant land near the residential building of the petitioner and thereby making the life of the petitioner in his house miserable. It is also alleged by the petitioner that when he objected the aforesaid activities, the third respondent and others are threatening the petitioner with dire consequences. The petitioner, therefore, seeks police protection to live peacefully in his residential house.

In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to take appropriate action, if complaints are received from the petitioner concerning the objectionable activities of anyone in the vacant land adjacent to the residential property of the petitioner.
