Heard Sri.I.Dinesh Menon, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Dr.Thushara James, the learned Government Pleader.

The petitioner seeks appropriate directions for disposing of Ext.P9 appeal and stay petition filed therein within definite time schedule. After perusing the record and particularly taking note of the fact that the appeal was filed as recently as 18.05.2019 this Court is of the view that, the writ petition can be disposed of, directing the 2^nd respondent to pass orders in stay petition filed in Ext.P9 appeal within three weeks from today. The 2^nd respondent considers and disposing of the Ext.P9 appeal as earlier as possible.

Status quo as on date vis-à-vis recovery of tax for subject vehicle is directed to maintain for three weeks.
