The petitioner-wife seeks for transfer of O.P (IDA).No.1924/2017 pending on the files of the Family Court, Thiruvananthapuram to the Family Court, Kottayam.

The respondent-husband enters appearance and opposes the prayer. He has filed a counter affidavit to substantiate his contention.

The original petition is one filed by the respondent-husband seeking a decree for dissolution of marriage. The petitioner is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Government College of Nursing, Kottayam. The children born in the wedlock are presently studying in classes 12 and 6 and are admitted in the K.E.E. School at Kottayam. These facts cannot be challenged. They are sufficient enough to grant the transfer, as sought for. It is only appropriate that the proceedings be transferred to Family Court, Kottayam.

In the result, the transfer petition is allowed. O.P. (IDA).No.1924/2017 pending on the files of the Family

Court, Thiruvananthapuram will stand withdrawn and
