The petitioners herein are the four accused in S.C.No.112/2018 now pending before the learned Third Additional Sessions Judge, Mavelikkara. They seek orders under Section 482 Cr.P.C. quashing the whole prosecution on the ground of amicable settlement out of Court. Along with the petition, they have produced the affidavit of the five victims who sustained injuries in the alleged incident. Serious offences are involved in the crime. The major offences are under Section 308 IPC, and under Section 27 of the Arms Act. A report was called for from the Police regarding the settlement reported to Court. The Police report shows that the first accused is involved in so many crimes, and he has been now undergoing detention under the KAAPA. The report shows that the second accused is also involved in other crimes. One such case involves the offence under Section 27 of the Arms Act, and also under Section 308 IPC. The cases pending against the first accused involve so many serious offences under Sections 308 IPC, 326 IPC, 27 of the Arms Act, and under Sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, etc. Thus, the Police report
