examinations and that on 30.01.2019 at about 11.30 am, the petitioner had knocked on the door of her house and asked for water and she had gone inside to take water and thereupon, he stealthily got into the house, locked it and had forcible sexual intercourse with her and threatened her that he would come and do it again and if she does not co-operate, he would divulge the said incident to everyone. The next day also (31.10.2019) at around the same time, the petitioner had come to her house and threatened her that he would divulge the previous incidents and forced his entry into her house, when she was alone and had again committed forcible sexual intercourse on her. That out of fear and shame, she kept quiet and later, she realised that she has become 3 months pregnant and then, it came to the knowledge of her family members, which led to the registration of the crime in the instant case etc. The counsel for the petitioner would point out that the abovesaid allegations are false and baseless and that the petitioner had already suffered detention since 26.04.2019 and as the investigation has been completed, no effective purpose will be sub served by his continued incarceration and that he may be released on regular bail subject to stringent conditions.
