J U D G M E N T

Petitioner claims that he is the father of late Ajith Antony, who was working as a Lineman under the 3^rd respondent and died on 22.06.2017 due to Dengue

fever. His grievance is that his daughter-in-law, who was not in good terms with his son, would be given the terminal benefits on account of the death of his son. Petitioner's apprehension is that his daughter-in-law would take care of him and submits that he does not have any source of income and he was solely depending upon his son.

According to him, a lawyer notice was

sent to the respondents demanding the payment of a portion the benefits to him. Petitioner is 70 years of age. Petitioner has approached this Court seeking

disbursement of the terminal benefits which became due on account of the death of his son.

I therefore deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the petitioner to approach the respondents with a suitable representation.

If the petitioner submits a representation before the Chief Engineer (HRM), the same shall be considered in accordance with law, without any delay. I make it clear that I have not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
