promise to permit the petitioner to be in possession for a period of 20 years. The party respondents attempted to intimidate the petitioner so as to force him to vacate the property. Anti social elements were engaged by them and political influence also asserted. The petitioner filed Ext.P1 suit as OS 316/18 before the Munsiff’s Court, Ernakulam to prevent unauthorised eviction, and succeeded in obtaining an injunction as per Ext.P2 order. However, in order to harass the petitioner and to wreak vengeance against him for having resorted to filing of a suit, respondents 6 and 7 engaged some goons, who attacked and ransacked the workshop of the petitioner causing extensive damage to the workshop and the vehicles parked therein. Two vehicles were stolen. The petitioner immediately contacted the Police. But no help was forthcoming. The fifth respondent, Station House Officer, was approached with a complaint, but no crime was registered. After much persuasion and exposure of the news through the media, Ext.P3 FIR was registered. The fifth respondent had, instead of enquiring the complaint, harassed the petitioner alleging that he was misleading the Police. The petitioner also filed online complaint as per Ext.P4. Seeking protection for himself and his employees, he has filed Ext.P5
