Petitioner is the second accused in C.C.No.589 of 2012 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class-I, Ernakulam. He is alleged to have committed the offence under section 420 IPC. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no idea about the status of the litigation. The prayer is to direct the court below to dispose of the case expeditiously.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

The information received from the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ernakulam is to the effect that the case was transferred from the court of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class-I to the court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. But it is doubtful whether the records of the case have already reached the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. It is submitted that the petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial court. These circumstances if the petitioner surrenders before the learned Additional Chief Judicial
