3.By inducing the de facto complainnant and by assuring her that they would obtain a medical seat for her daughter, a sum of Rs.25 lakhs was obtained by the accused Nos. 1 to 3. The amounts were allegedly handed over to accused Nos. 1 and 2 as directed by the 3rd accused. Later, the de facto complainant realised that she was duped by the accused consequent to which the law was set in motion.
