counsel appearing for the petitioners has accepted the abovesaid suggestion made by the Court. Accordingly, it is ordered that the trial court will ensure that both the parties are referred to the nearest mediation centre for resolution of their disputes through such mediatory efforts and time by at least 60 days may be given to the parties to finalise such mediation process. In case the mediation process is successful, the complainant will be at liberty to file appropriate application for withdrawal of the complaint as per Sec. 147 of the N.I. Act read with Sec.320 of the Cr.P.C. or the parties could be at liberty to file joint compromise application so as to seek compounding of the offence in terms of Sec.257 of the Cr.P.C. If, on the other hand, the mediation process does not turn out to be successful, then the petitioners will be at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings for vindicating their grievances. It is made clear that this Court has not examined the merits of the contentions in this petition and all such issues are left to be decided in the appropriate proceedings.
