J U D G M E N T

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner

and the learned Public Prosecutor and perused the report filed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police concerned.

According to the petitioner, no fruitful investigation is going on in the matter, even though an order was passed by this Court, directing the transfer of the case to the Crime Branch. The report clearly shows that as per the order of this Court, the investigation of this case was already handed over to the Crime Branch and a Deputy Superintendent of

Police named G.Sarjuprasad, who has filed the present report, has taken over the investigation.

The report clearly shows that he has

conducted a search at the Co-operative Society concerned, and has seized the documents concerned. Based on the documents, he has been questioning witnesses, and around 100 depositors have already been examined and their statements were recorded. The details regarding the properties acquired by the 1^st accused were obtained from the District Registrar, Kollam and the inventory has been prepared and the same has been forwarded to the court. On a perusal of the report and on hearing the learned Public Prosecutor, this Court is satisfied that the investigation has been progressing swiftly. At this stage, it cannot be complained that no fruitful investigation is going on.
