Petitioner is the sixth accused in Crime No.1017 of

¶21

2016 of Perambra Police Station registered for the offences under Sections 143, 147, 148, 341, 323, 324, 354 and 308 read with 34 of the IPC.

The prosecution case is that he along with the coaccused armed with deadly weapons like iron rods found themselves into an unlawful assembly, wrongfully restrained the victims and assaulted them with the weapons. They also

outraged the modesty of the first informant.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

The victims did not sustain any serious injuries. The name of the petitioner does not find a place in the F.I.Statement.

For this reason alone, I am inclined to grant bail to the

petitioner.

In the result, this application is allowed.

i. The petitioner shall be released on bail after interrogation on his executing a bond for Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) with two solvent sureties each for the like sum if he is arrested by the Police in connection with this case.

ii. He shall appear before the Investigating Officer between 10 a.m. to 11.00 a.m on every first and third Saturday for three months or till the final report is filed, whichever is earlier.

iii. He shall not get himself involved in any other criminal case while he is on bail.

¶34

iv. He shall not intimidate or attempt to influence the witnesses.
