J U D G M E N T

The petitioner has approached this Court, seeking a direction to the respondents to correct her date of birth in the school records and CBSE certificate. The petitioner passed out CBSE in the year, 2006.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the following directions are issued;

The petitioner is permitted to approach the 3^rd respondent to correct her date of birth in the school records.

¶38

If the petitioner approaches the 3^rd respondent for correction of her date of birth, the 3^rd respondent shall correct the entries in the school records and forward the same to the CBSE within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The CBSE shall correct Ext.P1 certificate of the petitioner within a period of three months from the date

of receipt of necessary documents from the 3^rd respondent.

For the purpose of correction, the petitioner shall produce a duly authenticated copy of her birth certificate.

Considering the delay involved in the matter, this Court is of the view that the petitioner shall remit 1,000/-₹ (Rupees one thousand only) to the 3^rd respondent and ₹4,000/- (Rupees four thousand only) to the CBSE as cost.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
