JUDGMENT

Petitioner is working as Driver under the 1^st

respondent-Changanacherry Municipality. Petitioner submits that he entered service under the first respondent as Driver on 26.07.1996 and he has uninterrupted service for the last 18 years. Petitioner further submits that he belongs to Schedule Caste and his appointment in the post of Driver was against the permanent vacancy. Petitioner made Ext.P3 request before the first respondent to regularize the service. But no action has been taken so far. Aggrieved, petitioner approached this Court.

In view of Ext.P3, appropriate decision shall be taken by the first respondent within a period of two months after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
