This writ petition is filed by the Kerala Private College Management Association alleging that the respondent university in contravention to the order of the Apex Court declared college union election vide Exts.P2 and P3.

Several writ petitions were filed challenging the legality of the direction issued by the universities in the State regarding the mode of election to the college union election and this Court, in WPC No.7764/2014 and connected cases which were disposed of today by a common judgment, have made it clear that the petitioners in those cases are free to choose any one of the four modes of election in the college union elections subject to the final decision of the larger Bench of the Supreme Court now pending

for consideration as per reference order reported in ( University of Kerala v Council of Principals of

Colleges, Kerala and others ) 2010(1) SCC 353.

Therefore, this writ petition is closed reserving the right of the individual members of the petitioner association to approach this Court for the reliefs claimed in this writ petition in terms of the directions given in the aforesaid writ petitions which were disposed of today.
