JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court challenging revenue recovery proceedings initiated to recover the amount awarded by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Ernakulam. There is no dispute that the petitioner has not challenged the liability.

The petitioner submits that he has no means to pay the liability. The petitioner now prays that he may be given an instalment facility to discharge the liability

¶36

This Court obtained a report from the Tahsildar regarding income of the petitioner. It is reported that the petitioner has declared his annual income of Rs.2,40,000/- for the purpose of obtaining a loan from the Bank.

Considering the plea as above, the petitioner is permitted to discharge the entire liability in twenty monthly instalments starting from 20.8.2015 onwards. If the petitioner commits default in remitting anyone of the instalments, the respondents are free to proceed against the petitioner in accordance with law.

This writ petition is disposed of as above.
