This writ petition is filed by the petitioner stating that he is a sales man in a reputed jewellary at Kollam and he is in love with 4th respondent's daughter Anjana. There was some talk between the two families for a marriage. According to the petitioner, the 4^th respondent subsequently informed that because of the reason that the communities are different, he is not agreeable.

The prayer is to issue a direction to the 4^th respondent to produce his daughter Anjana who according to the petitioner, is in the illegal custody of 4^th respondent.

Pursuant to the directions issued by this Court, the 4^th respondent along with his daughter and her mother is personally

present and we interacted with the petitioner, the 4^th respondent, his wife and the girl Anjana. She stated before us that she is not under any threat or compulsion and only if the parents agree for the marriage, she can give consent for the marriage. The 4^th respondent and his wife submitted that, they are not agreeable to conduct the marriage. We have put it to the petitioner and we allowed an opportunity for the petitioner to interact with the girl also. It is informed that there is no change of stand. In that view of the matter, as the girl is of the desire to go along with the parents, no further directions are required.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
