JUDGMENT
The Original Petition is disposed of recording the terms of settlement arrived at between the parties, on 18.02.2014, before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, which are extracted hereunder :
(i). The petitioner in WP(C).6931/2011 hereby agrees to pay the claim amount to their workmen, as per the joint statement signed by the parties. The joint statement is produced as Annexure 1.
(ii). The amount as per Annexure 1 shall be paid to the employees in Annexure 1 on or before 7.4.2014. In the event of the petitioner unable to make payment to the workmen directly or the workmen unable to claim the amount, the same shall be deposited with the district Labour Officer, Thrissur on or before 30.4.2014. case of default, th petitioner will be liable to pay 12% interest per annum for the amount from 1.5.2014 till the date of payment.
