Petitioners are accused Nos.1, 2 and 3 in Crime No.15 of 2014 of Payyavoor Police Station. The said crime is registered against the petitioners alleging commission of offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 148, 294(b), 353 and 308 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution allegation is that on 6.1.2014 at about 9.30 p.m., the petitioners and others attacked the police party, who were on law and order duty in connection with a Temple festival. The petitioners and others attacked the C.P.O. with a wooden log. Thus, the petitioners have committed the offences as stated above.
