JUDGMENT
K.M. Joseph, J.
Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:
“Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order directing the respondents to afford sufficient and adequate police protection to the life of the petitioner and his family members.”
Serious threat is existing to the life of the petitioner and his family members from one Ismail who is a native of Bangladesh and his agent in India (Iqbal) with whom the petitioner had business deal at Saudi Arabia. Petitioner came to India on 04.01.2013 after settling all amounts due in connection with the business with the above Ismail, but he is demanding to pay huge amount or to execute and issue blank cheque or promissory note in

favour of his agent Iqbal. Police has not taken any action on Ext.P1 and hence this Writ Petition.
Without prejudice to the right of the petitioner to move this Court again if need arises, giving full details, this Writ Petition is closed. We make it clear that this Judgment will not stand in the way of the police investigating the crime launched against the petitioner.
