JUDGMENT
The petitioner seeks correction of place of birth in the Passport issued to him, bearing No.B 1546379. In the Passport the place of birth was entered as Ernakulam which, according to him, was a bona fide mistake committed by his grand parents when he was a minor. The petitioner was born in Vladivostok, where his father, who was a Officer of the Indian Navy, was undergoing training at the relevant time. The petitioner filed Exhibit P4 application before the 2nd respondent seeking correction of the same. The same was rejected by an endorsement, saying that for correction of birth, there should be a direction from the Court. Hence, this writ petition.

However, this Court is of the opinion that no purpose would be served, since the additional 3rd respondent sought to be impleaded is outside the jurisdiction of this Court. Therefore, that application (i.e., I.A.No.6293 of 2013) is dismissed.
In the circumstances stated above, reserving petitioner's liberty to approach the jurisdictional High Court, the above writ petition is closed.
