This is an application filed by the Travancore Devaswom Board to

sanction a resolution taken as per Annexure-A with regard to the applicability of the Schedule of the Payment of Salaries and Allowances

Act, 1951 as amended by Act 4 of 2012. Going by the affidavit of the Secretary of the Board, it is seen that presently the travelling allowances and daily allowances of the President and Members, in terms of the

provisions of the Act XIV of 1951 as amended in 2008, are subject to a maximum limit of `22,750/- as fixed by the Board as per its resolution dated 28/11/2011. As per Act 4 of 2012, the provisions of the Payment of

¶25

Salaries and Allowances Act, 1951 and the schedule prescribed therein have been revised. Thereby, the rates of travelling allowances, incidental

¶26

expenses and daily allowances have been revised. The resolution taken is
