The accused in Crime No. 183/2013 of Puthoor Police Station are the petitioners herein. The offences alleged against them are under Sections 420 and 468 I.P.C. According to them, the dispute between the parties have been settled amicably and at present there are no disputes between the parties. A joint compromise petition has been filed by the petitioners and the third respondent, for quashing the criminal proceedings. In view of the settlement, it would be unfair to continue the said proceedings.

In the light of the dictum laid down by the Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab [2012 (4) KLT 108 (SC)] , it is only appropriate that the entire proceedings are terminated.

This Crl. M.C. is therefore allowed. Crime No. 183/2013 of Puthoor Police Station is quashed.
