Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the

learned standing counsel for the respondents.

The petitioners filed this writ petition with the

following prayers:

i) To declare that the 1^st respondent has got a duty to publish a rank list consisting of at least 23274 candidates in the main list;

¶94

ii) to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1^st respondent to enlarge the main list by including 23274 candidates in the main list or to publish an additional ranked list by including 23274 candidates in the main list, for the post of Reserve Conductor in KSRTC;

iii) to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to refrain from regularizing the empanelled conductors or other provisionally appointed conductors as Reserve Conductors in KSRTC;

I dispose of this writ petition with direction to the 1^st respondent that if the petitioners file any representations for recruitment of conductors by enlarging the rank list within two weeks from today, the Kerala Public Service Commission

shall consider the grievance of the petitioners and pass a reasoned order, after giving an opportunity of being heard to
