The only prayer in this original petition is for an early disposal of a petition filed challenging the election to a ward of the Grama Panchayat under the provisions of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act. The petitioner who is the election petitioner contends that the election court is bound to dispose of the election petition within a period of six months as per Section 93 (5) of the Act aforesaid.
