The petitioners are the parents of the alleged detenue. They approached this Court seeking a writ of habeas corpus alleging illegal detention against the 3rd respondent. We have passed interim orders in this matter essentially directing the alleged detenue to be housed in the Shantiniketan hostel near Lourde hospital, Ernakulam on the basis that the alleged detenue and the 3rd respondent would get married under the Special Marriage Act.

Act. The alleged detenue will be accompanied by a woman police constable not in uniform to the office of the Registrar. The parties will produce the certificate of marriage before this Court on 03/01/2012.
