JUDGMENT

Petitioner owns the property covered by Ext.P1, having an extent of 20.5 cents comprised in old Survey No.827/3 of Thrikkakara Village. He made Ext.P3 application for effecting mutation of the property and complaining of delay in the matter, he approached this Court.

From Ext.P6, the letter issued by the District Collector to the Tahsildar, Kanayannur, dated 1.1.2011, it is seen that the District Collector has already directed the Tahsildar to take action on Ext.P3 application made by the petitioner. Necessarily therefore, the second respondent has to finalize the proceedings on Ext.P3 request. This the second respondent shall do as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within four weeks of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition.

Writ petition is disposed of as above.
