The petitioner had come to this Court claiming issue of directions to respondents 1 and 2 police officials against illegal obstruction by respondents 3 to 6 against the petitioner doing loading and unloading work by himself, his wife and son.

According to the petitioner, he is a goods autorickshaw driver. Cement to be carried in his goods autorickshaw at times used to be stored in his house. He engages no loading and unloading worker. Illegal obstructions were raised against such loading and unloading of the cement bags stored at his residence. It is in these circumstances that the petitioner came to this Court with this petition seeking police protection.

This petition was admitted on 10.2.2009. The following interim order was passed by the Bench which dealt with the matter on 10.2.2009.

“Interim relief as prayed for is granted provided the loading and unloading work is

done only by the petitioner, his wife and son.”

The interim order has been remaining in force from 10.2.2009. There has been no further posting. Party respondents 3 to 6 have been served. There is no appearance for them. The learned Government Pleader appears for respondents 1 and 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the interim order may be made absolute and this proceedings may be closed. The learned Government Pleader agrees and accepts the said suggestion. We are satisfied that the proceedings in this writ petition can now be closed.
