JUDGMENT
Basant, J.
This petition for police protection filed as early as on 12.1.2009 continues to remain on file without disposal. On 13.1.2009, when the matter came up for hearing, there was a direction that “the Police to see that law and order is maintained”. Thereafter, there has been no order sought or passed. We are satisfied in these circumstances that this writ petition can now be disposed of. No specific directions under Article 226 of the Constitution deserves to be issued now, we are satisfied. This writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
