Writ Appeals are filed challenging the judgment of the learned Single Judge declining to interfere with registration of new Cooperative Societies within the area of operation of appellants' Societies. When the Writ Appeals came up for hearing, counsel for the appellants, Government Pleader and counsel appearing for some of the respondents submitted that under the Kerala Co-operative Societies (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2011, every Primary Society has to limit it's operation within a Taluk. Consequent upon the commencement of the Ordinance, the grievance of the appellants is redressed. Consequently we dismiss the Writ Appeals as infructuous.
