The prayer sought in the writ petition is for a direction to the 2^nd respondent to give revised scale of pay to the petitioners as per Ext.P1 with effect from 1.11.1998.

It is seen that this very issue was considered by this Court in W.P.(C).22761/2007 and the writ petition was disposed of by Ext.P9 judgment, directing that the benefit of Ext.P1 be given with effect from 1.11.1998 with consequential benefits.

Therefore, following the reasoning adopted in Ext.P9 judgment, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to extend the benefit of Ext.P1 to the petitioners with effect from 1.11.1998 along with consequential benefits. This shall be done as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within eight weeks of production of a copy of this judgment.
