JUDGMENT
Today, when the matter came up, I heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Koshy George, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Welfare Fund Board, besides the learned Government Pleader. It is pointed out that pursuant to the Judgment of this Court, an order has been passed and served on the petitioner. There is no dispute regarding this. Learned counsel for the petitioner then submits that the petitioner may be given time to pay off the amount. He seeks five months' time. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of as follows:
On condition that the petitioner pays a sum of Rs.7,00,000/= (Rupees Seven Lakhs) on or before 31.03.2009,
the recovery proceedings against the petitioner will be kept in abeyance for a period of four months from today. This is to enable the petitioner to remit the balance amount payable with

due interest within a period of four months from today. In case
the petitioner does not remit either Rs.7 Lakhs on or before
31.03.2009 or the balance amount within four months from
today, it will be open to the respondents to proceed against the petitioner in accordance with law. It is open to the petitioner to
seek to have negotiations and a private sale before the
respondents for the purpose of clearing the amounts.
