The petitioner is a consumer of electricity for his Farm House in Chathalloor (Kaliyangal House, Chathalloor), near Edavanna. The consumer number is 9177. The petitioner is aggrieved by the demand for an amount of Rs.2,96,296/- as electricity charges. The petitioner submits that the petitioner uses only two bulbs in the Farm House and therefore, the demand is exorbitant.

A statement has been filed by the third respondent wherein the contention taken is that the connection has been given as per a minimum guarantee agreement and therefore, irrespective of use of energy, the petitioner is liable to pay the minimum guarantee amount.

When the matter was taken up, the petitioner confines his prayer for a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 expeditiously.
