J U D G M E N T

Proceedings have been initiated against the petitioners under the Kerala Land Conservancy Act and Rules in respect of certain properties in possession of the petitioners. The Special Tahsidlar, Cochin Devaswom Board decided against the petitioners, by Ext.P5 order. Against the same, the petitioners filed Ext.P6 appeal before the 2^nd respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, which is pending. Apprehending dispossession pending disposal of the appeal, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.

I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.

I am of opinion that this writ petition itself can be disposed of by directing the 2^nd respondent-RDO to pass final orders on Ext.P6 appeal. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2^nd respondent to pass final orders on Ext.P6, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to petitioners. Till orders are thus passed, the interim order passed by this Court in this case would continue to be in force.
