Prayers in the Writ Petition are as follows:

“(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate writ directing respondents 5,6 and 7 or the concerned among them to render adequate and meaningful police protection to the petitioner, Madathipathi of Kanady Madom in the matter of his life and property and in the matter of the life and property of his family members (wife and children) and also in the matter of the properties of the Kanady Madom and its staff against acts of theats, violences, intimidations and intrusions committed by respondents 8 to 20 and persons hired by them.

(ii) Issue a writ, order or directions in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate writ, directing respondents 2, 3 and 4 to direct a proper investigation in Crime No.349/2010 on the files of Anthikadu Poice Station, specifically directing

investigation of the role of the conspirators, who are the respondents No.8 to 20 herein and entrust the investigation to a senior police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.

(iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate writ directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to entrust the investigation of crime No.349/2010 of Anthikadu Police Station to a specialised agency of the State Government for the purpose of conducting proper investigation and to book the real culprits along with the hired goondas and bring them to the clutches of law and further direct such entrustment by court in the interest of justice.”

We have already passed an interim order granting protection for life. We heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri Chithambresh, learned senior counsel and other learned counsel appearing for the respondents. We dispose of the Writ Petition by making the interim order dated 2.6.2010 as extended from time to time absolute. We make it clear that we have not gone into the correctness of the allegations made by the

parties and if the matter comes before any court/forum, the said

court/forum shall proceed to decide the matter in accordance with law and untrammeled by anything contained in this Judgment. As far as the other prayers are concerned, we make it clear that we have not pronounced on the same and we leave it open to the petitioner to work out his remedies before the appropriate forum.
