J U D G M E N T
State Bank of India held an examination for in-service candidates as part of the promotional exercise to the clerical cadre. According to the petitioner, he had written the examination. But he was not included in the list of eligible candidates. The writ petition is filed for a direction to stay all further proceedings on the basis of Exhibit P5 list, till the disposal of an appeal filed by the petitioner as Exhibit P8 before the State Chief Information Commissioner whereby, the petitioner had sought for details regarding the marks which were awarded to the candidates who had participated in the written examination conducted on 11.3.2207 itself.

I have gone through the averments in the writ petition. Petitioner merely states that there was foul-play in the conduct of the examination. No details have been supplied. There are no specific averments in the writ petition supporting the petitioner's contention,, I am of the view that the writ petition seems to be an attempt to conduct a roving enquiry. In the circumstances, the writ petition is bereft of merit and the same is therefore, dismissed.
